For the past fifteen years Chris Kientz has worked as an independent writer, producer, director and educator working in both Canada and the United States. He has scripted, produced and directed award winning animation, live action film, reality tv series and interactive media for clients including Scholastic, National Geographic, the Smithsonian Institute, Mainframe Entertainment and New Machine Studios. Titles he has worked on include Raven Tales, Secret Smithsonian, Trickster Tales, Math Snacks, Wild Chronicles, Reboot and many more.
As an educator he was a driving force in the creation of the Creative Media Institute at New Mexico State University where he worked as Director of Animation Studies and Director of Curriculum/Faculty.
He currently resides in British Columbia with his wife, two children and a variety of pets.
